Mission Statement
1 in 5 women will be sexually assaulted or raped during her time in college. Our film addresses this issue in a unique and engaging way, inspiring audiences to examine their own potential internal biases.
SYNOPSIS
Senior Investigative Journalism major Megan is raped by the star of the wrestling team, Brice Tinney, on the brink of the college wrestling national championship. She reports it but detectives are slow to investigate due to his status in the community and rich-donor mother, who also happens to be the dean of students at their college. That week, two of Megan's friends are viciously, and seemingly randomly, murdered and another one of Brice's previous victims is attacked and left for dead. Megan is convinced these events must be related to her own assault--the golden-boy rapist has escalated and must be the perpetrator of all these crimes. With a police department strapped thin and justice for all of these crimes seeming less and less likely, a determined Megan puts her skills to use to solve the crimes on her own--for her murdered friends, and for herself. Culminating in one final, epic battle in which Megan lures the killer to come after her, she proves why there’s no such thing as a perfect victim.
