FloridaRAMA is an immersive arts destination built around the strange, colorful, and distinctly Floridian imagination of artists and creators. Rather than functioning as a conventional gallery, the experience places visitors inside interconnected environments where art, scenic design, lighting, sound, technology, and interactive storytelling become part of the experience itself.
Sam Doty’s lighting design helps shape the atmosphere and architecture of the immersive environments, using light as both a practical and storytelling element. Without the fixed point of view of a traditional theater audience, the design guides focus, establishes mood, reveals detail, supports individual installations, and helps connect separate spaces into a larger experiential world.
