Overview

Based on Elizabeth von Arnim’s novel, An Enchanted April follows four women who leave a dreary London behind for a stay at an Italian villa. The new musical features a book and lyrics by Elizabeth Hansen and music and lyrics by C. Michael Perry.

Contribution

Matthew Solomon designed the costumes, assisted by Madeline Corcoran. The designs distinguish the characters’ lives in England from the freedom and warmth they discover in Italy, supporting each woman’s transformation through the story.
