Lightning McQueen races into Radiator Springs, Ariel explores life above the sea, Simba discovers his destiny across the Pride Lands, and Tinker Bell welcomes audiences into Pixie Hollow. Combining championship skating with elaborate scenery, theatrical effects, projection, and live performance, the production creates a cinematic arena experience for audiences of all ages.
As Lighting Designer, Lighting Programmer, and BlackTrax Programmer, Samuel Doty developed lighting that transformed each Disney environment while integrating performer tracking and advanced show technology. His work synchronized lighting, BlackTrax, scenic effects, and performance to create seamless transitions between the production’s distinctly different worlds.
