Overview

Hundred Days is an intimate folk-rock musical about love, mortality and the struggle to remain present in the face of uncertainty.

When Abigail meets Shaun in a New York diner, she recognizes him as the soulmate from a recurring dream. The dream also warns that she will have only one hundred days with him before his death. The couple responds by attempting to experience an entire lifetime of love within those one hundred days.

American Stage presented the musical in St. Petersburg, Florida, from October 22 through November 16, 2025. Directed and choreographed by Nick Sugar, the production combined theatrical storytelling with the energy and intimacy of a live folk-rock concert.

Contribution

Matthew Solomon served as Costume Designer for the American Stage production, creating contemporary, character-driven wardrobes that supported the musical’s intimate and emotionally direct storytelling.

The designs grounded Abigail, Shaun and the ensemble in a recognizable contemporary world while allowing the production to move fluidly between autobiography, memory, dream imagery and live musical performance.

Costume choices helped establish individuality within the ensemble while accommodating actor-musicians, choreography, instrumental performance and the production’s flexible concert-style staging.
