Overview

Season 5 of The Food That Built America explores the entrepreneurs, rivalries, and innovations behind some of the country’s most recognizable food brands, from Campbell’s and breakfast cereal to KFC and McDonald’s.

Matthew Solomon served as Costume Designer for the entire fifth season, designing all 12 episodes and leading the costume department across recreations spanning multiple decades of American history. The work involved establishing period, profession, social background, and character at a glance while maintaining visual continuity across the season’s wide range of stories.
