Season 4 of The Food That Built America explores the entrepreneurs, rivalries, and innovations behind influential American food brands, from breakfast cereal, coffee, and frozen food to supermarkets, pet food, and brewing.

Contribution

Matthew Solomon served as Costume Designer for the complete fourth season, designing all 16 episodes. The dramatic recreations span numerous periods, industries, and communities within American history.

The costume design establishes period, occupation, socioeconomic background, and character while creating a cohesive visual language across the season’s wide range of historical figures and stories.
