Saturday Night Fever
Costume Designer · Timber Lake Playhouse · 2025
Overview
Saturday Night Fever brings the disco era of 1970s Brooklyn to the stage through the story of Tony Manero, a young man whose weekends on the dance floor offer an escape from the pressures of everyday life.
Timber Lake Playhouse presented the musical as the opening production of its 2025 season, directed by Tommy Ranieri and choreographed by Chaz Wolcott.
Contribution
Matthew Solomon served as Costume Designer, creating a wardrobe rooted in late-1970s Brooklyn and the height of disco culture. The design contrasted the characters’ everyday working-class clothing with the heightened color, movement and glamour of the nightclub, while supporting the production’s extensive dance choreography.
