Overview

R.R.R.E.D.: A Secret Musical is an original musical comedy about a secret society of redheads fighting to save their population from extinction.

Featuring book, music and lyrics by Katie Thompson, with a book by Adam Jackman and Patrick Livingston, the Off-Broadway production starred Katie Thompson, Matt Loehr, Marissa Rosen and Kevin Zak. Directed by Andy Sandberg, the production played the DR2 Theatre in New York City.

Contribution

Matthew Solomon served as Co-Costume Designer with Michael McDonald, creating the visual world of the eccentric underground resistance.

The contemporary design combined utilitarian clothing, camouflage and heightened character pieces to support the musical’s irreverent comedy while giving each member of the small ensemble a distinct visual identity.
