Critical Reception

“Matthew Solomon (Costume Design): Welcome back to ABT. I congratulate you on the very outstanding designs. Just a great job!”— In a Director’s Viewpoint

“ABT's large-scale production includes an abundance of glitz and glamour, especially in Matthew Solomon's elaborate and detailed costumes and Amanda Gran's fun wigs.” (Talkin' Broadway)

Contribution

Matthew Solomon served as Costume Designer, creating a wardrobe that contrasted the elegant world of Georges and his family with the heightened glamour of Zaza and Les Cagelles. The design embraced theatricality, sparkle and character while supporting the production’s extensive dance and nightclub sequences.
