Produced by Feld Entertainment, Built to Amaze! transformed the arena into an oversized construction site where performers, acrobats, aerialists, clowns, and animals worked together to “build” The Greatest Show On Earth. Featuring more than 110 performers from 17 countries, the production combined original music, elaborate scenic environments, theatrical effects, and large-scale production technology to create one of Ringling’s most ambitious touring shows.

As Lighting Designer, Lighting Programmer, BlackTrax Designer, and BlackTrax Programmer, Samuel Doty designed a dynamic lighting environment supporting every phase of the production. Through synchronized lighting, performer tracking, and carefully programmed cueing, the show transitioned seamlessly between comedy, aerial spectacle, animal presentations, and high-energy ensemble performances while reinforcing the show’s colorful construction theme.
